The mission of Eimatai is to develop Jewish high school students into leaders.
Eimatai fosters involvement and awareness through informal and experiential programs that push students to strive for higher understanding, internalize the value of integrity, and find a calling in the service of humanity. Eimatai leaders become stewards of global and communal issues by taking responsibility and taking action. Students are given the tools and skills to lead in creative and innovative ways.
Guiding Principles of Eimatai:
Torah Umadda:
The confluence of Torah and worldly matters will result in a truer perception of life than either alone.
Tikkun Olam:
The Jewish people are uniquely responsible for improving the world, and particularly for helping all those who may be suffering.
Social Justice:
Every individual and group is entitled to fair and equal rights and participation in social, educational, and economic opportunities.
Ecological Conservation:
The world we live in is the only one we will ever have, and protecting it from destruction is of utmost importance.
